Mrs. Anat Cohen of Hevron was once again called in for questioning by
Israeli Police.
SNS reported some time ago that Mrs. Cohen was forcibly dragged out of
her vehicle and brought in "for questioning." She is charged with
disturbing the peace on several occasions and interfering with a
police officer.
The latter charge stems from her refusal to allow an
Israeli Border Policeman to photograph Jewish worshippers in front of
the Ma'arat Hamachpelah (Cave of the Patriarchs) on Yom Kippur, the
holiest day on the Jewish calendar.

A spokesman for the Egged bus cooperative responsible for the
majority of the public transit systems in Israel, has reported a 0.4%
decline in riders since the Beit Lid attack.
The Egged spokesman stated that following the Dizengoff (Tel-Aviv)

in which 21 Jews were killed, the public is afraid to use
bus service for fear of additional terrorist attacks.
The first attack was on a bus and the Beit Lid attack occurred at a
crowded bus stop.
The Egged spokesman stated that they are losing millions of shekels
and are unable to maintain the standard of bus service the Israeli
public has become accustomed to. (Radio News..2/6).

In the government's gradual lifting of the closure on the
"territories," physicians and teachers will be permitted into "Israel
proper." The decision was reached at the weekly cabinet meeting.
Prime Minister Rabin reiterated that the closure is totally dependent
on the PLO security forces and their ability to effectively combat
terror against Israeli targets.
The lifting of the closure for Arab workers in Gaza will be discussed
at Thursday's planned meeting between Prime Minister Rabin and Yassir
Arafat. (Yediot Achronot Newspaper..2/6..Page 5).
