Dear Friends, Thank you very much for taking the time to write back to me. I can assure you that it's greatly appreciated. This message being sent to you is *absolutely* 100% correct! Myself and other employees at the AMC Nassau Metroplex are trying to get rid of this sad clown. The situation is so bad that because his name is Mamun, people have been calling him (not to his face) "Moo Moo", "Baboo", "Saddam" and a few other unsavory names. I alone spent about $75.00 in envelopes, postage stamps and blank paper in order to send copies of that anonymous letter to over 120 different theatres in the NY / NJ metro area. Believe me - I had other very important things that I could have spent the $75.00. That $75.00 could have been a payment on my credit card, but I really felt that this needed to be done. The purpose of this was twofold. First, was to give other theatre companies some insight into what's going on at the competition. The original paper message is intended to be a sample of the desperate and drastic measures that employees can be driven to when a piss-poor culture creates shit policies that then in turn, give managers the ability to choose to transform themselvs into facists. Second, was to try to make an impression on managers from other companies that are in charge of hiring. If the AMC home office does decide to dump (terminate) "Moo Moo", I want to make sure other theatre companies will think **very long** and **very hard** before hiring him. Nobody should have to be subjected to this bona fide shit heel. I was hoping that if you forwarded this message to your world headquarters, it may motivate them to re-examine there policies and culture and make changes and adjustments as needed to prevent something like this from happening in their theatres. If you want to call that a "smear campaign", then that's fine. I can't stop you from thinking what you want. If I'm so unhappy why don't I quit?? I *was* happy until this sad clown showed up. If I was unhappy before this guy showed up, would I have been working at the same theatre since January 2, 1993?? (My first day of employment.) That's 15 years. After being employed with the same company for so long you (not "you" personally - in the generic sense) can look me square in the eye and tell me I don't know how to do my job correctly?? Also, I really can't afford to be unemployed right now. AMC offers its non-management (regular workers) health insurance benefits. True, it's not all the coverage in existence, but it is some coverage. Also I am the only employed person in my household. I am 37. My mother is 66 and my father is 70. My father had *three* strokes in 2005. My mother and father have full custody of my extremely high-energy 7 year-old niece. My sister and her husband are separated. My sister has obsessive/compulsive disorder and is unable to care for her child. The father is an illiterate carnival worker that has no permanent address. My mother needs me. I can't simply move to a new area for employment. Both my mother and father need be to at home and need me to be employed. For a short time (1990 to mid '92) I was working for the aerospace contractor Grumman. If you've ever seen the Tom Cruse movie "Top Gun" then you know Grumman's products. Who could have guessed that the Iron Curtain was going to fall down?? After the end of the production lifecycle of the F-14 Tomcat, E2C Hawkeye Radar Aircraft and the end of the U.S.S.R as it known, Grumman quickly laid off employees, sold properties (real estate) and wound down production of other products. I was not a broom pusher or serving meals (Not meant to detract from Grumman employees that did such tasks.) I was a machinist. I used multi-million dollar equipment to fabricate parts for the space shuttle, F-14 Tomcat an other high-value U.S. Navy hardware. I would have loved to stay with Grumman but it simply was not to be. Do not foward to AMC Levittown. If this document is not going fowarded to your Home Office / world headquarters for the reasons I described above, then please shred the document. Again, I thank you very much for your time, effort, consideration and understanding in this matter. Best wishes and warmest regards, amcworker@gmail.com On Jan 2, 2008 2:54 PM, Theatre 688 <theatre688@regalcinemas
