NEAL KNOX...

Neal Knox and the "new" NRA have been stirring up the
anti-gunners. First of all James Brady quoted portions of Neal's
newsletter that expressed pleasure over the defeat of the crime
bills gun measures, saying, "Can you believe it! Here is a man -
an elected NRA Board Member - who's actually happy that the same
vile instruments of death used to kill and injure 45 innocent
people in the Killeen, TX massacre will still be available for
purchase over the counter in gun stores." Responded Knox,
"Well...Yes!"
While the way HCI dances in the blood of shooting victims
"both sickens and infuriates me" to use James Brady's words about
Neal Knox, Neal, on the other hand resents the snide implication by
HCI that he was as happy about the massacre as they were. In fact,
it was only by the grace of God that Neal's brother was late and
not killed. A close personal friend was killed. Dance-on HCI!
Brady noted that he and Sarah were shouted down with cries of
"liar!", "Hitler!", and "communist!" at the university of Nevada
and blamed the NRA. Said Brady, "This is a very disturbing
indication of where the NRA's support is based...and much of that
is a reflection of the new equally extremist NRA board of directors
... What it boils down to is that the NRA is being run by people
who constitute a menace to society." From this it logically
follows that if the Bradys win this battle, the NRA leadership can
expect to be shipped to prison forever. I don't know what you
think, but I think this sounds an awful lot like the ideas of
leaders in both Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia. Yes?
Neal also reported on the success of the NRA letter on NBC for
their "America the Violent" propaganda. Reportedly NBC got 100,000
calls. The biggest coup was that NBC actually had to admit their
news president was anti-gun and wants to ban handguns. They
admitted this in the statement they ran claiming that the program
took no position on Mr. Gartner's views. Brokaw also flew to Salt
Lake City during the NRA meetings to interview Wayne La Pierre but
only 10 seconds were used. What we saw was Brokaw lecturing
LaPierre saying, "But no one is saying you ought not to be able to
own a gun." Said Knox, "What wasn't shown was Brokaw's stunned
reaction when LaPierre responded: 'Your boss is!'"
