LETTERS TO THE EDITOR...

Following are several letters that the editors of the
PROponent and Chairman Ron Herman have received in the past several
weeks.

From the desk of Fred Woods:
Ron said the dues are pro-rated, so I am sending $6.00 for 6
months-if this is not correct, give me a call. [Editors: Yes, dues
are pro-rated.]
I also want to tell you all how much I enjoyed the Personal
Protection classes I just attended. I thought the instruction was
down to earth & clear. Scott Mote's legal lecture was very well
done and very important.
I have been attending your shows in Hilliard and enjoyed them
also.
I belong to OGCA, but Cleveland is a long way.
     Best wishes,
               Fred Woods.

Dear Dennis:

As I mentioned to you by phone this afternoon, I have
regularly downloaded the PROponent via Compuserve over the last
year; I find PRO's newsletter one of the things I anxiously look
for in Compuserve's Outdoor Forum's Library each month. My local
gun club, the Ramapough Sportsmen Assoc (Rockland County, NY,
suburb of NYC), sends out monthly newsletters, and I came up with
the idea at the beginning of the year to include a selection of
various publishable items from Gun Week with each newsletter.
It occurred to me on reading this month's PROponent, that the
item on gun "buy-backs" would make for very interesting reading on
the part of our club members (it sure brought out some points to me
that I had never considered), and that prompted my call to you, as
far as reprinting it in our club's newsletter.

               Sincerely,
               Dr. Paul Gallant

                 _______________________

Mr. Ron Herman, Chairman

Dear Ron,

Just a note to thank you for appearing on our special edition
of News Four at 7.
It was a thought provoking, informative hour and your input
into the issue of handguns, and any possible control, was timely.
It made Colleen's and my job a lot easier.
     Again, we thank you.

               Sincerely,
               Cabot Rea, WCMH-TV (4)

                 _______________________

The editors of the PROponent have also received inquiries from
the OGCA to reprint portions of the PROponent in a new OGCA
publication. Anyone wishing to reprint all or part of an article
from the PROponent may do so. Please mention the PROponent and the
issue that the article was in, and send a copy of the publication to
our PRO office. (We like to know what your organization is doing
too.) Also, PRO will exchange newsletters with any pro-gun, pro-
rights, pro-hunting, etc. groups to further grass-roots
communication. Put us on your newsletter mailing list and we will
put your club on ours.
