LETTERS TO PRO...
Gentlemen:
Please find enclosed my check for $20.00, which I hope will
help in some small way to help you and yours to continue the war
against the (expletive deleted) gun-grabbers.
There was a huge demand for effort and courage over two
hundred years ago when this war first began at Lexington and
Concord, but those guys had it easy then. They were only up
against a King's army. I don't know if we're winning or not, but
they know we're here and still fighting, and we're not afraid to
stand up and be counted.
Fraternally,
Eugene Young

Dear Mr. Walker,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and all
the members of PRO who helped make our recent gun-safety and
personal protection course so beneficial and useful.
From the kind ladies who always made us feel welcome with
name tags ready for us, to the thoughtful and ever-helpful NRA
instructors, the whole PRO team was truly PROfessional.
Well-planned and well presented lessons each night took new
students from zero knowledge about firearms to a rather confident
awareness and understanding of safety and the importance of a
personal protection plan. And--"Glory be"--a lawyer who still
supports the Constitution in spirit and by actions rather than the
usual mere lip service. Please thank Scott Mote most heartily for
us. Likewise, Sgt. Jim Ramm provided us with a good example of how
preparedness avoids many problems. Also, Ron Herman's enthusiasm
and sense of humor kept things lively.
Although I have been shooting for more than a dozen years,
each night I learned new things and clarified my thoughts on other
topics. My wife, Steffanie, intends to push hard for gun-safety
education in the public schools, though we realize how recalcitrant
public entities can be on the subject of firearms.
Please share our letter with the PRO team, and thank each
person who played a part in the classes. Sometimes in our busy
lives, we all neglect to say a word of thanks. So please remind
the others that for every "thanks" they hear, there are probably a
dozen others that meant to say thanks but didn't get around to it.
You are all appreciated! Your work saves lives and improves the
quality of life for many of your students.
You probably noticed that I had joined PRO before the
classes were over. You're "our kind of people" and it was
inspiring just to find out that there were other people out there
who don't believe everything the press spoon-feeds us, and who
still revere the spirit of the Bill of Rights. You can count on us
as lifelong friends of PRO!
Please let us know of ways we can help. Once again, a
sincere thanks to each member of the PRO program.
John and Steffanie Haueisen
[Editor: Letters are important to PRO and to the PROponent,
whether you agree with us or not. We do enjoy the ones like those
of the Haueisens and Young. While PRO is a solvent organization,
we do need help in other areas. People to work at the gun shows,
prepare the PROponent for mailing, working the County Fair, attend
our monthly meetings at Vet's Memorial on the third Tuesday of the
month at 7:30pm in rooms 206-207.
Our political arm, Citizens Against Crime, needs
contributions, as does our PRO Scholarship fund. If everyone could
send in $5.00 to Citizens Against Crime, and an additional $5.00 to
our PRO Scholarship fund, it would be a big help. This is an
extremely important election year. With the anti-incumbent
feelings running rampant, we may never have another opportunity
this good to rid ourselves of the self-serving, anti-gunners in
office.
Come to the meetings, come to the PRO Gun Show, October
10-11, come and support PRO]
