HR-1354: FELONY FUR FUNDING...

A new bill introduced into Congress by Jim Scheuer (D-NY) not
only bans the steel leghold trap, but also makes it a FELONY to
possess such a trap or the fur from an animal caught in such a
trap! I know it won't be long until I'm in jail for felony leather
shoes, belt and jacket possession. Putting People First (PPF) is
calling the measure "only a camel's nose under the tent" expressing
the real fear that this is just one stupid step on the way to gun
control. After all, guns are a danger to both humans and animals
alike, which we all know possess identical "rights". Additional
proof of the gun-grabbing nature of the anti-fur bill can be seen
in its co-sponsor list. It includes: Edward Feighan(D-OH), James
Traficant Jr.(D-OH), and Louis Stokes (D-OH). Now where have we
heard those names before?
Animal Rights fanatics have been using the slogan, "Get a feel
for fur, slam your fingers in a car door." PPF Chairman, Kathleen
Marquardt refuted this recently and stuck her fingers in a
"merciless steel jaw leghold trap" on national TV. Her hand is
still as good as new. The organization of wildlife biologists also
supports the leghold trap as the most humane way to capture wild
animals.
Here is the Kicker: Any animal "rights" group that turns in a
trapper, dealer or furrier gets half of the fine! If you don't
have public support, just get funding from your enemies. Hey, lets
make telling lies in the media a crime and write the law so gun
groups get half the fine every time they are caught!
