Unbelievable. I decided to take a look at the page. While I'm using NS
2.02 (16 bit) I happen to have images turned off. The page loads
quickly -- and I'm left staring at a page that consists of nothing more
than 17 "broken" images on a black background and the following text
"Copyright 1995, 1996 Essence Exotiqu fire@fragrance.net" at the
bottom of the page. That's it, that's all she wrote. 17 broken images
and a copyright message. Uh, you might want to drop a gentle note to
whoever wrote that page and explain the concept of "alt=xxxx" to him.
Silliest damned thing I've ever seen.
Hmmm, I decided to take a quick look at the source before sending this
message. Ya gotta sees it to believes it folks. Lezze, for starters no
<HTML> tag. Ok, I can live with dat. Then we have a META Keywords tag
which deserves to be charged with child abuse. Then we have the usual
BODY tag complete with a color selection (the hex codes are of course
not set off in quotes) followed immediately by </HEAD> Ayup, Netscape
gets a pat on the back for making sense outa that one. Our friend
procedes to use something called burnheart.gif. By then I was starting
to suffer from heartburn sans gif. Of course there was no </BODY> tag
to be found. And, curiously, while the text for the mail-to address at
the end of the page reads "fire@fragrance.net" the actual URL is
media@atlantic.net. I gotta go now. That heartburn, you know.
