"Crash" begins with a seemingly simple car accident in Los Angeles. The
accident, however, brings together a very diverse group of people, from
various races, social classes, cultures and sectors. Their lives collide
and become intertwined, and the issue of racism and racial profiling is
explored as they work through their own fears and inherent prejudices. The
film is told through a series of dramatic, moving vignettes and offers a
brave and unique frankness in its dialogue and confrontations.
"Crash" features an extremely accomplished and talented ensemble cast,
with notable performances from Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Sandra Bullock,
Ryan Philippe, Brendan Fraser, Jennifer Esposito, Thandie Newton, and
Terrence Howard.
