Close -- the one in the hotel is the Latchis Brewery. McNeil's is on
Eliot Street (just across from the Fire Station). IMHO, The Latchis
makes a good brew - very much in the american microbrewery style.
Good, but I wouldn't drive 40 miles to get it. However, they *do*
pour a good pint of Guinness, which is all too rare around here.

McNeils..... ah, I've made the 40 mile detour to get there when I was
only planning on going out to get bread and milk at the local store.
Easily the best pint I've had since I left Scotland. Truly wonderful beer.
My favourite is the Ducks Breath Bitter, followed closely by their
Dead Horse IPA. Well worth the trip. They open at 4pm. They've
recently started bottling too. You can get it at a number of stores
in southern Vermont (turns out it's a major hassle to 'export' across
state lines, so they probably won't for some time).
