We're looking for one or two skilled, female volleyball players to
join our Amherst LSSE team in the co-ed "AA" league.

Our team has been playing together for several years, and we have a
great time. There are no "big egos" on the team, just friendly people, and
everyone gets equal playing time. At the same time, we DO play our hardest
to win, and we've finished in second place for the past few seasons. So
we're looking for teammates with the same kind of "friendly, but enjoys
good competition" attitude.

The Fall season begins in mid September and runs through mid
December. All practices and matches are in Amherst. Matches are on
Sundays, beginning at various times between 3:00 and 5:00, and lasting for
about 2 hours. A men's height net is used. Practices are on Thursday
evenings. So you should have your Sundays and Thursdays free. The team
members also commonly play at pickup games on Tuesday (Amherst, "power"
session) or Wednesday (Florence) evenings, so that's desirable but certainly
not required.

Please send me email (barrett@cs.umass.edu) or call 549-7157 if
you're interested in playing, or if you have any questions about the level
of play. (Please don't respond by posting in this newsgroup.) Thanks.

                                                        Dan
