Senior LAN Technician for Network Management
Duties and Responsibilities
Design, document and implement LAN/WAN high availability trading
LAN/WAN environments.  Provide troubleshooting /diagnosis for problems
LAN/WAN environment.  Utilize various LAN management platforms such as
HP Openview, Cisco Works (CWSI) and CA UEMS. Coordinate resolution with
desktop support / business contacts.   Work on internal and client
projects as required.

Candidate will participate in weekend on-call coverage.
This is a LAN/WAN position, not a server support or cable
infrastructure position.
Critical Knowledge and Skills Required
Individual should have at least 4-5 years experience working with a
complex LAN Infrastructure and have good problem determination, design,
implementation and documentation skills and be a team player.   Strong
understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, and
RIP.   The environment is comprised of Fast and switched Ethernet,  T-
1, and DS3 circuits.   Individual must be able to perform low-level
analysis using Network Associates Sniffer product and be capable of
resolving network problems quickly.

Hardware/software:
CISCO Router and Catalyst Switches, Network General Analyzer and
distributed sniffer, CSU/DSU�s and  RMON probes.  HP OpenView, Cisco
CWSI, and UEMS. Ability to work on a UNIX platform is a plus. Knowledge
of WEB and Firewall server builds ands software with respect to network
configurations is also a plus but not a pre-req for the job.

Person will be engaged in support of a trading environment and should
be a high-energy and responsive individual that is able to work well
under pressure.
