                                   POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position:  Senior Design Engineer

Assist in the design and engineering of components, systems and related 
projected associated with MHATT-CAT insertion device and bending beam 
lines.

Dimensions:

Duties include engineering and design of ultra-high vacuum components, 
thermal and structural analysis considerations (total some Ids exceed 7 
Kw), precision mechanisms (such as optics positions), monochromators, 
positions monitors and in vacuum thermal absorbers.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineer or equivalent at an accredited 
university or college.

Through working knowledge of vacuum technology, UHV techniques, 
procedures and systems.

At least three years experience with mechanical assemblies associated 
with accelerators. 

Must have demonstrated the ability to work independently as a member of 
a team or as a team leader in meeting schedules and deadlines.

Proficient in the use and application of Auto Cad Release 12.

Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
