I want to take a stab at creating a REAL UUCP map (might need 4-D,
I know...)  Could you send out a message asking ALL sites to send me
a simple list of the other sites they talk to DIRECTLY?  It would
also be nice to know how often they poll, or if they are polled by
each site, etc.  -- but a simple list would be better than nothing.

You might also ask that the request be forwarded as widely as
possible to uucp sites not on the usenet so it will be a REAL
map.  Please have all responses come back to me at

I think this is a great idea, especially if I don't have to analyze the
data.  I think Armando Stettner tried this once, if you're out there,
Armando, you might want to get in touch with Lauren.  All you systems
types out there on usenet, please mail Lauren the non-secret parts of
your L.sys files.  (Presumably you can send the system name, when you
call, and the baud rate.  If you know the login name of a person at
each site and would be willing to edit that in, it would be a big help.)
If this is too much trouble, the output of uuname is better than nothing.
