**Software Security Specialist**



Locations: Ottawa - ON, CA



Description:



- Review proposed product architectural designs for security concerns.

- Explore third party products for security flaws.

- Develop tools for identifying security concerns in software products.

- Perform pentetration testing on software products at all stages in their
lifecycle.

- Develop techniques for software design that mitigate against the
exploitation of vulnerabilities.

- Maintain a knowledge of techniques for subverting



Skills and experience required:



The ideal candidate has knowledge of, and experience in, software
application development in the Windows and UNIX operating system
environments, using the C++ and Java development langauges, knowledge of Web
scripting techniques, knowledge of MS CryptoAPI, strong knowledge of the
Internet protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, MIME.  He or she also has good
written and spoken communication skills.



Educational Requirements:  Bachelors degree in computer science.
