You mean to tell us that oil companies are not totally devoted to the public
welfare? Oh dear, maybe I shall have to vote for Gorbachev after all. Wait a
minute, isn't that an election somewhere else? It seems odd that apparently
there too they were able to create their own urban stinking cesspools
without the benefit of megacompanies. Maybe human beings are
self-destructive or something. Great article on penguins in the current
National Geographic.  Their society is wonderfully considerate, and they
don't damage the environment at all. Seems to me they deserve the
designation "Emperor" a whole lot more than poor Nicholas who is getting so
much attention these days...
