:Apologies to all who are as sick of this endless thread as I am.
:
:"finger" fails for me on this account. Various attempts to locate a
:"postmaster" in his address have also failed. I've sent email to
:webmaster@lsu.edu asking for help in ending this spam which appears to be a
:troll.
:
Finger does work (although it took well over a minute to respond):

umbc10[1]% finger sfryoux@tiger.ocs.lsu.edu
finger: tiger.ocs.lsu.edu: unknown host
umbc10[2]% finger sfryoux@tiger4.ocs.lsu.edu
[tiger4.ocs.lsu.edu]
Login name: sfryoux In real life: Scott James Fryoux
Directory: /home/s/sfryoux Shell: /usr/local/rbin/student_profile
No Plan.

So he does exist - but that still does not excuse his obnoxious behavior.

:If Mr. Fryoux really exists and wishes to send me email to which I can reply
:without getting a bounce, I'll be happy to post an apology for mislabelling
:his attempt to get a free ride as a troll.
:
:However, having worked my way through college (with the assistance of
:scholarships and grants), I feel little sympathy for him in his efforts to get
:money from the rest of us.

-Erik
