My daughter tells me she is on the 6-year plan to get her AS. Except for the 1st semester (a Pell grant), she has earned her own way course by course as the money was there, with no financial help from anyone & she plans to do the same for the next 2-year program (6 years?) to get her BS. And this, in spite of being bi-polar. When she finally gets that degree, she will have earned every bit of it, without having to resort to begging on the internet. As she says, if she didn't have to work so hard to get it, then it wouldn't be worth anything.
