Job purpose and responsibilities
The team is designing and building a Unix / Oracle system as an interface
between the existing PetroLink system (a distributed system running at over
35 sites around Australia) and  Australia's new UNIX-based core system,
 The interface involves:
Automatically maintaining a database of translated reference & pricing data
Sending relevant new & modified data to the PetroLink sites for whom it is
relevant
Translating transaction data between PetroLink sites and  in both
directions
Transmitting reports to the PetroLink sites. Some reports are generated by
the interface, others are extracts from reports generated by other systems.
PetroLink and the interface communicate via flat files passed through a
mailbox system.
Role:
Receiving the prepared designs from the various designers, this person will
be tasked to build interfaces from the prepared designs. 

The activities will mainly be in PL/SQL, but at least one person will also
build in C or Pro*C.
Duration: Approximately 3 months
Experience and skills
I.	Mandatory
A.	PL/SQL
B.	Unix/Oracle. Knowledge of the Unix operating environment and Oracle
database systems.
C.	Oracle RDBMS version 7.0 or later
D.	C mandatory for one position
E.	Strong team player
F.	Ability to work under pressure
II.	Highly regarded
A.	Experience with Pro*C building simple programs
B.	PL/SQL version 2.0 or later and use of server PL/SQL in applications.
C.	Oracle Report Writer
D.	Development experience using Oracle CASE tools, especially Designer
2000.
E.	Familiarity with SQL*Plus, SQL*loader
F.	Oracle SQL query tuning
III.	NOT involved:
A.	Oracle Forms 3 or Forms 4

	As soon as possible
