Note also the wide spread of newsgroups, and I can't speak for all of them,
but the ones I read all discourage job postings, which are *not* generally
topical outside of job newsgroups.  (They're commonly tolerated in groups
related to the field the job is in, but even then, they're gauche at best.
Real job hunters read misc.jobs.offered, and I refuse to work for agencies
which post job offers in comp.*)
