Hallo daar,

Daar ben ik weer met het vervolg van mijn probleem.
ik wil mijn RICOH MP6200S voorzien van nieuwe firmware.
Deze drive zit in een scsi machine, nl de Celebris XL 6180 van Digital.
Deze machine is voorzien van een NRC scsi Bios. Nu heb ik veel informatie 
doorgelezen en daarin wordt aangeraden deze update alleen te doen via een 
Adaptec scsi interface.
Is dat zo of is het ook via mijn eigen systeem te doen.
Wie heeft er eraring met upgraden via Adaptec-interface en wie wil dat 
voor mij doen als het niet via mijn eigen SCSI systeem gaat?

Hoi Jan,

Ik ken je probleem. Er staat inderdaad bij de Ricoh site dat je Adaptec SCSI
kaarten moet gebruiken voor het upgraden van je firmware. Dus heb ik de
kwestie maar geplaatst bij Ricoh zelf met de vraag hoe ik in hemelsnaam dan
mijn firmware moet vernieuwen?

Overigens, ik heb een Advansys PCI SCSI kaart met eigen bios.

in your case I recommend to use the DOS upgrade program from the same
website (www.ricoh.co.jp). This tool supports some other SCSI Cards, too.

Please write down the serial number of the drive, because it is needed for
downloading.

I want to please you to read the instructions carefully, in fact of a
little difference. You have to load the Aspi driver for your SCSI Card in
file Config.sys.

I hope that I could help you with this information.

Dus zorg dat je de ADVASPI.SYS in je config.sys hebt en uiteraard dat
dosprogrammaatje. Ik draai dus nu versie 2.40 en draai heerlijk Directcd
2.5. Mocht je nog vragen hebben of kun je dat programmaatje niet vinden dan
moet je maar weer even gillen. Maar je kunt ze uiteraard ook even meelen
voor de zekerheid.
