I'd like to define a html form. In this some text box can be edited by the viewer, but other can't . Is there any readonly attributes that can be used on forms. Or can I do this via a Jscript. Thanks for any idea, or links

Sorry that does not parse. Who is "other"? >Is there any readonly attributes that can be used on forms. Yes, the attribute is actually named readonly. It is supported by IE 4+ but not by most other browsers yet. The interesting question is why you would include a form field, which is essentially an input field, and prevent user input via it. The answer to the question whether you should really use readonly or something else and what you should do about browsers that don't support it seriously depend on what you are actually aiming at. >Or can I do this via a Jscript. That's a different question and best discussed in comp.lang.javascript, but you might wish to check http://www.hut.fi/u/jkorpela/forms/readonly.html for the basics first. -- Yucca, http://www.hut.fi/u/jkorpela/ Audiatur et ALTera pars.
