There are a few negative postings about Eurocapital Group, a european venture capital trust, floating around the internet. We would like to share our experiences with them.

After meeting with Eurocapital Group in Atlanta, Georgia we believe they are a real investment trust. We read all the negative online posts after receiving their invitation to meet, and told them up front we would not pay them any fees, for any reason. We then threw caution to the winds and went to Atlanta with great suspicions about these supposed scammers.

We met with them. We pitched our company. They made us an offer. We waited for the other shoe to drop. And waited, and waited. We asked where's the catch? When do you ask us for money? How are you scamming us? Remember, WE'RE NOT GIVING YOU A DIME!!!

Here's what they told us (abridged)�

1) There are no fees of any kind. We're aware of the negative publicity on the internet. The main one is http://ripoffreport.com run by Ed Magedson, a real scam artist that trashes companies, then asks for money to change the negative posts.

2) We do not use names similar to legitimate venture groups to fool the public. We called ourselves Blackstone Capital Group at one time, but found ourselves in conflict with Blackstone Group, another venture capital trust. We changed our name to Eurocapital Group.

3) There are other trusts using consulting services in Atlanta. As far as we know, they're legit. Just make it clear at all times you will never pay any fees, for anything, at any time. But hey, you're still taking your chances.

Final Note

We are now in the process of completing our deal with Eurocapital Group. We have not paid them a dime. We keep telling them we will not pay them a dime. They keep telling us they won't charge us a dime.

Frankly, I'm still skeptical. I won't really believe them until their check clears without having paid them a dime, but so far so good. So here's what I suggest�

If they contact you about your project tell them you heard about them from Alex and Donovan (that's us). Tell them you will never, neVER, NEVER, NEVER PAY THEM A DIME. Tell them if they ever ask you for a fee you will contact the FBI white collar crime division. Hell, here's their address:

Then take that leap of faith and go. Do not under any circumstances give these guys any money. Cut and paste this posting and email it to them. Tell them you will never give them a penny, EVER!!! Make it clear you will not be scammed. Then if they still want to meet you go, because a scammer won't waste his time if he knows he can't scam you.

PS: If they make you an offer they'll want to bank in the Bahamas. It's not a tax fraud scheme. We asked our accountant who says that's how it's done when dealing with foreign investors.
