I have a home machine that used to log in at 28.8K - an old Win95 machine.
Lately, that number I used to dial in became disconnected, so I used the v.90 login
number at Sunnyvale.
Now it takes about 3 minutes to connect (before it took about 10-15 seconds).
Below is the PPPlog.txt trace from Win95.
I have a static IP address of 204.95.65.92 = 0xcc5f415c and I configured the
machine with a static IP address in the TCPIP properties.
Note below that that wasn't accepted, maybe because that computer's name
isn't 'krell' - the hostname I normally use. Maybe that's the reason for the delay,
but it never happened before and I've used that machine off and on
for the last 4 or 5 years with that configuration.
Can anyone who knows PPP tell me what I need to change?
