The AOL login via TCP/IP still requires the use of their graphical front
end, it just eliminates their modem network.

Hyperterminal is not going to work to connect to AOL.

To use the TCP feature to access AOL, you need to connect to the internet
(I fire up a web browser, since that auto-dials and connects via PPP).
Start the AOL program. When it comes to a login screen, select the SETUP
button, and change you network type to TCP (I think that's the name... it's
been a while, but it was obvious). The "number" doesn't matter.
Then, log in, using your normal name and password.

To relieve the overload on their modem pool (and pass it on to someone
else), it is now cheaper to have an ISP account (like rahul), and the AOL
unlimited time, access only via internet option, than it is to have a
straight AOL dialup account.
