June 2, 2003 UFO sightings around the Grampians National Park will be the subject of a new documentary. A group of investigators from the Victorian section of the Australian UFO Research Network will compile the footage with the aim of attracting an international TV market. The members plan to spend as long as six nights during June staking out sites in the Grampians. Spokesman Jason Groves, of Warrnambool, said that during the past three years there had been many reports of strange lights from in and around the Grampians. UFO research at Grampians June 2, 2003 UFO sightings around the Grampians National Park will be the subject of a new documentary. "Last October, a group of us from the Victorian section of the Australian UFO Research Network went on an expedition to the area," he said. "One of the members had gone up there a few days before and managed to get some footage of the lights. "Sadly, the one night that we all decided to go up there, the area was covered in fog." The reports have continued. "There have been a few more reports and last month I contacted a distribution company in England because we plan to make a doco about the expedition," Mr Groves said. The 10 members of the Warrnambool and Melbourne units will focus their cameras on the Lake Wartook area. The group hopes to market the documentary to European television stations and will also seek to publicise their findings on Australian TV. Network members are seeking help from people who may have seen unusual lights. "What we need at this point is to find more people who may have seen the lights but have not reported them," Mr Groves said.
