I find it quite interesting that some people have a negative view of my
posts and don't seem to comment on the "For Sale", "Check Us Out",
"Service Coming Soon To Slave Lake" type posts. I sure haven't seen any
negative comments from these same people about CCINet's 96/02/12 post.

I am not saying "Buy, Buy, Buy", nor am I advertising how many lines we
put in or who my partners are. I also don't advertise how I think people
should use the CAP grant or how many schools have already signed up with
us. What I am doing is informing people, as is permitted in various
guidelines for Usenet use, as to service availability and where to get
more information about the service or service subscriptions. My posts
are to newsgroups that are specifically interested in Alberta, Canada and
Infohighway activities.

Is it that some people fear that AGT just might be able to offer a
quality service to all Albertans and not just want to focus on a few
locations, ignoring the rest? It could make you wonder who some people
work for or if they have specific prejudices against a large private
company instead of a small one. Or is it that big companies just make
easy targets?

To highlight my point below are excerpts from recognized authorities in
Usenet use.
