Actually there are few of these. There are many more studies (some cited
today) that clearly show that same-sex couples raise just as well-adjusted
children as opposite-sex couples.

It is not a *mere* choice.  
Did you *choose* your sexual orientation? If I gave you appropriate
incentive, could you change your mind?
