It's OLE >structure sets a new standard others will follow. This is just hand-waving. What on earth does "technical level of superiority" mean, anyway? As far as OLE is concerned, nobody use it on the Internet (or anywhere else I have seen) so it is no loss. >Actually it is the Netscape-Sun-Oracle cabal that is old in their thinking. >Their Net PC crapola is a good example of that. An attempt to turn back the >clock to pre-PC days. Nobody is going to take away your PC and replace it with a NetPC. They are just developping a new product that they think is needed in the marketplace. They may very well be right. >Netscape and Microsoft IE are exactly the same in this regard sonny. >And both of them allow you set to the start page you want to use. I know of many people who were baffled by IE's layout when trying to change their start page. Maybe we should just chalk this one up to non-intuitive design. Netscape is just one of a number of companies reaping the benefits of the astonishing amount of hatred people feel towards Microsoft, much of which has been promoted by their runaway PR and marketing folks who seem to have been given a free rein to do anything or say anything to promote Microsoft's products regardless of ethics or morals. This hatred is a very real thing and cannot be dismissed by mere hand-waving. It could very well lead to Microsoft's downfall from the dominant position it now holds in the industry and is certainly a liability to Microsoft in anything they do with regards to the Internet. -- Michael Dillon ISP & Internet Consulting Memra Software Inc.
