127th Ave right along there, between 82nd St and 97th St, is just
north of a now mostly closed rail road container yard.  There might be
some locomotive shops as well IIRC.  On the north side of 127th Ave
roughly in that area to 97th street is a seedy hotel and some older
somewhat run down businesses.  Back in behind there are houses about
forty or so years old.   I can say I'm exactly familiar with that
particular street though.   

I am familiar with the area from 90th Street east to 82nd Str as I
used to live in that area and take a dog for a walk frequently along
there.  Houses in that area are quite decent.  Mostly occupied by the
owners. Lots of duplexes occupied by parents on one side and married
kids or renters on the other side.  The odd small 10 unit apartment
block.

The crime rate is a little high but may drop off in the area you are
interested in as there is a very low rent set of townhouses in about
83rd Street and 129th ave.
