Help! prob opening dialogue boxes in Visual Inter Develop98

problems with opening dialogue boxes in VisualInterDev 98 installed in Win
2000 Professional.

1) When the application opens, "New Project" dialogue box opens. When I
select "New Web Project" and click on OPEN, that dialogue box closes but
then nothing happens.
              or
2) If I select File, New Project, New Web Project and click OPEN a message
box with a red cross opens up with title "Microsoftt Development
Environment" and the message"Invalid class string ,looking for object with
projID:VIWizard.CBlankSiteWizard, OK".
If I click on OK, the DB closes but again nothing happens..

How can I fix it. Without it I can not even start using the application.
