next week I start at SCTI, in Edmonton for their software development
program. I think it would be useful and informational for me to post here
regular about what I am doing and what the school is teaching me, for a
matter of record, as well as to be able to log my accomplishments and to be
able to brag about the school.

I spent 3 months investigating schools, and I think that I have found one
that provides a solid background and foundation for a careeer in saoftware
development.

I would be interested in having conversation and interaction with people
here.. I was born and bred on the newsgroups back when it was UUCP and
telnetting into the university computers ( paying long distance charges)
with a TI 99/4A.

Lets have a conversation! lewts talk about what we can do to further the
Software and certifications of people that work in this medium. There is a
significant ignorance in public media about what software development is
about.

Today I was at the bank talking about online biz.. and the manger said she
would never buy online,... she was concerned about security..

what can we do as developers to dispel that myth?
