I am Developing a CD Utility which must read the total CD's in Binary Format
sector at a time.

The ATAPI interface is a character device and will not allow convenient
binary manipulation of data
or low level access.

Could anyone who has developed low level ( ie assy drivers ) please point
out any reference material
which may help me to program the CD interface on a register level.

I believe the red book standard may be of help to me any one know where to
obtain this information.
