GD&T Interpretive Design


Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is a universally accepted
language of precise documentation used by designers.

Having foundations dating back to the late 1960's with ANSI
(American National Standards Institute) led by Charles Goldfarb,
developer of GML and SGML (Standard Generalized Markup Languages),
and early 1980's with ISO (International Organization for
Standardization), GD&T has aided designers of various backgrounds
to communicate ideas successfully.

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing has been utilized extensively
in several high-tech fields:

 Automotive
 Electronics
 Machining
 3-D Modeling
 Plastics
 R&D
 Sheet Metal
