Database/DataWarehouse Administrator
Job Code: BT113

General Summary: Design, build, maintain, optimize, and upgrade corporate
databases and the data warehouse using SQL, database administration, and ERM
tools. Expand and improve company's data warehouse to include data from all
functions of the company using data manipulation, transformation, and
cleansing tools.

Job Requirements
Design and build databases for applications across all company business
functions
Perform frequent maintenance, backups, and restores of all databases
Monitor database performance, diagnose issues, and perform tuning
Use Erwin for entity relationship modeling and publishing database schemas
Design and build enhancements on the data warehouse utilizing data
manipulation and transformation tools to load data from transactional
systems
Assume ownership of the data warehouse cleansing project and implement it
Help users understand the data warehouse schema and data, and assist them in
building their own queries and reports
Provide backup support for applications, and work with the team on large
I.T. projects

Job Specifications
Demonstrated competence creating, updating, maintaining and optimizing
Microsoft SQLServer databases using administration tools, SQL, and ERWin (or
similar)
Experience with data marts or data warehouses and business intelligence
tools
Demonstrated competence with data warehousing i.e., skilled with schema
design, data manipulation, data transformation and data cleansing tools
Experience with applications in Finance, Marketing, Operations or Sales
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers and end users
Demonstrated team skills in addition to the capability for independent work
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent degree in related field;
4-10 years experience with Information Systems
