Dear All

Thank you for your support so far. It looks good, but we need more help. We
know you are all busy people, but if you can find the time to visit our new
web-site www.lotusprofessionals.com we would be very grateful. We are trying
hard to get the forums going so that the site can come alive.

We have tried to build something that will appeal to us as Lotus Notes
users, developers and designers and hopefully it will appeal to you too.
Look through the forums, or maybe browse the job ads and if you're not
already a member, then let us strongly recommend signing up. This is FREE
and only takes a minute of your time and once you are a registered member of
LotusProfessionals.com then you will get full access to all of our forums,
the download area and the complete job exchange. This will allow you to post
questions or make a response to something you've read, look for a seminar
near your area, trade books online or maybe search through the online job
bank. If you are an employer wanting to post positions/vacant situations or
maybe you are responsible for arranging a seminar for Lotus Notes
Professionals, in either case signing up will allow you to create your own
job adds or create seminar information sheets directly online for FREE.

We hope you will find ways of utilising this site as a communication
straight to the Lotus Notes community. If you have any feedback to give us
then there are categories in the forums
for entering these.

Thank you for your support.

Tim...buddy.........we don't have enough Lotus Notes sites. At least good
ones. Please be possitive and don't be so negative. If you are a Lotus
Professional one day their site could save you with a problem or a
employment opportunity in the future. Don't be hard on people that love
Lotus Notes products like we do.

Hi Lou,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems signing in, it looks like the
"damn", (Pardon my French ;-) SUBMIT button really badly need to be
moved...Sorry about that but we shall deal with it.

The forms are basically Notes Standard Concept (we wanted it to be a bit
like notes, considering the content) this means that all SUBMIT buttons are
located at the TOP of forms....(I know, it doesn't make sence when on the
Web.....everyone keeps telling me, so they WILL be moved)....

Also if you wish to send us a message you can use the CONTACT US" menu
option on the first page.

Hope this will help you out if not then please let us know.

Regards,
Bjorn Larsen

Bjorn,

No dice. There is a gray strip accros the top of the form. Should it
be there? Maybe I'm blocking something you're using (ActiveX) on my
FW?

Hi again Lou,

I'm not sure if this is the problem but your browser needs to have the Java
Console Enabled. If you are running Netscape 6 then we have has reported
that there is a compatibility problem with Java, only found this out couple
of days ago....

Hope this will help you

I don't think so! Looks like the guy is trying to practice/learn Domino R5
by creating a "web site" that no one cares about. LOL He's also becoming
a real pain in the butt nagging NG's begging for users and contributors.

Nope.

PS -- that's a bad idea. Just make a regular submit button (CGI,
Perl, Python, whatver) you don't mention this requirement on your
page. I think you have a nice idea here but I've already invested too
much time just trying to sign up. This tells me your site's coding
practices need attention. Who knows what horrors lurk down the road
as my account gets wiped out, my info gets stolen, whatever.

Good luck to you and yours.

Tim,

You are simply amazing to me. I am not going to attack you or anything
like that. I am surprised that you can be so cold to other people who are
trying to make a difference. Give these guys a break. "Any" time you have
a new database or web site the begining always has some change to make to
be more effective. If you know anything about this stuff you would know
this. I think they are doing a great job.

Lou,

Are you using IE to access their site? If not, that maybe your problem.
I did not have any trouble getting there. I had already comment on the
moving of the submit button. They obviously know this as well. Another
thing......are you trying to access this site from work or at home. It is
faster when I am home than it is from work. My companies proxy goes to a
different end of the country before I can get any info. So it is slow
loading cause of that.

From work. Using IE 5.5 on my NT and tried it with NS 4.6 on my Linux
box, both times no submit button. I think there are some flaws in the
site, I hope they get things together.

Listen, I've been in IT for over 15 years and involved in Notes since 1993.
I know a practice/job interview (I need a hyperlink) website when I see one.

Tim,

Ok......since you have been in the IT buisness for 15 years and you know
Notes since 93, I will be silent. You are indeed smarter than I.

Tim I hafta say, you seem overly bitter about this. The site doesn't
even work for me and I'm not that pissed.

Let it go. Step away from the newsreader.

Well, I've got it figured out. From the information that Tim has given us, and from the tone of his
letters, I conclude that he started in IT at the age of two.

Maybe you've been in IT for too long ... *smile* The site seems ok to me
... ofcourse, there are room for improvements but which site does not ?
I'm quite sure yours don't, correct? Since you're all experience and knows
everything.
