Thank you Ian A Wright! Haven't been able to get ebook reader to work. Error message said ReaderApp causes error in GDI.exe. One choice was to close, the other to ignore. If I closed I had to restart the PC to have it work properly, if I ignored it froze. Tried uninstalling and re-installing and various other things. Finally I tried your advice I found at the User Forums. If you get the message that GDI.exe error is causing your ebook reader application not to start, and haven't tried to see to your fonts yet, try it. It might be the problem. For me it worked. Acrobat ebook reader is now up and running! Thank you once more Ian! You saved me a lot of dispair... Finally I can start reading my ebooks! mika Ian A. I recommend that you have only 100 or so fonts installed and active at one time as a test -- it's a Windows issue. Remember that roman, bold, italic and bold-italic are four "fonts". You can install thousands of fonts and have them available but "inactive" by using Adobe Type Manager Deluxe 4.1 to create "font packs" which you switch in and out as necessary. That way you have all the fonts you need without also slowing down every Windows operation involving typography.
