Do you have this problem? Every time you try to install Adobe E-Book Reader it gets to almost the end of installing then stops and gives you this error. Adobe is incompatible with Oil Change Adobe found Oil Change on your drive uninstall it then try installing Adobe. Now this program OIL CHANGE if you are like me you uninstalled that a long time ago, and you can not find the files the Adobe is apparently finding. You feel trapped like there is no way out, no one at Adobes forms can even help you, and to top it all off every time you buy new software the manuals and help manuals are in the Adobe Acrobat reader format!!!

Dont worry I found out how to get rid of the files Adobe is apparently finding left behind from your previous uninstall of Oil Change. I found this answer in my paperback manual to Ontracks System Suite version 4.0, quite a good software package I might add!

They say that they recommend to fully remove something, you have to uninstall it then reinstall it then uninstall it again.

So because I felt I have nothing to lose I hunted out my old McAfee Nut & Bolts 98 Deluxe because that is the disk with Oil Change on it, my computer crashed even more after installing all of that stuff so I uninstalled it all. Any way I reinstalled Oil Change and reset my computer then I uninstalled Oil Change again, and tried to install Adobe Acrobat E-Book Reader and it worked!!! :-)

So that solved that problem if any one is having similar problems I recommend reinstalling the conflicting software then uninstalling it again.
