Let's think of this logically and literally,

1. first adobe ebook reader is the ink, 2. our computer is the paper, 3. we are the readers and customers, 4. www.bn.com is the bookstore,

then let's see the problem,

the ink is not writing if the paper is different of size, texture, color, etc.,

1. does it happen in the real world when you damage your paper book, it would be unreadable?

2. does it occur that when you lend your real paper book to someone to talk about it together, he or she would pay you the same amount of money that you pay for that book so that she would buy another one for herself?

there must be a law to implement, that they should also implement the ebooks rules in real world paper books, before adobe persistently apply this law to the ebooks. However, if the rules in the real world paper books isn't applying just like the ebooks in the internet does, then they should not implement the ebooks copyright policy. It should be same-and-the-same between the two laws.
