I need to create a form with a drop down list that then sends info to another field depending on what is chosen.

Basically need a new field that is a shortened version of the item chosen.

i.e
Drop down list is:

PRODUCT ONE
PRODUCT TWO
PRODUCT THREE

In a new field I need P1 to appear if PRODUCT ONE is selected and P2 if PRODUCT TWO is selected etc etc.

I've been playing around with javascript but can;t get it to work correctly. If this isn't possible is there a work around using a different method.

Thanks in advance for any help.
