It's a kludge fix, but should work... Generate a blank (silent) audio file. Play this file in wmp and set wmp to repeat After you start wmp and launch the song, start reader... the wmp playing should keep the ppc awake. Note... don't forget to stop the player when you end or you may end up with a dead battery... i.e. turn it off and the midnight wakeup may allow the player to resume.
