I've been watching this discussion, as it may be why I am having problems too. 

In one of your messages, you said ... 

" ... Unless you take care of the root problem, which is too many or one or more damaged fonts, you are not going to get Reader to work, no matter where you download it form or how you install it. ..." 

I cannot see any earlier reference to removing fonts in the earlier posts, so do you mind re-posting that bit so I can try following your instructions
