Help wanted: Acrobat Reader 5.0.5. freezes

Hi,  

when I doube-click on a pdf-file within the windows explorer, acrobat reader displays the start screen but then freezes. I have to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to delete the task.  

However, if I start acrobat reader via the shortcut on the dekstop and then load the pdf-file, everything works quite fine.  

This behavior is independent of the pdf-file! I tried to deinstall and reinstall the reader but this was not the solution.  

Can anybody help. (I'm German, sorry for my bad English)
