I can confirm that this behavior is a bug in ALL versions of Office. The pdf.ocx is distributed with the full Acrobat software, as well as the free Reader. I certainly would like to hear from Adobe that they are uninterested in fixing the bug, so that I can advise my clients, and the thousands of readers of the Microsoft newsgroups that they should not upgrade.
