I have been having an unusual number of instances
where I cannot read a pdf document using Adobe Reader 9.3.
I most cases it says document format error.
Also in most cases foxit 3.1.4 also has the same
or similar problems.
I currently do NOT have such a file or reference to one,
but will keep the same next time I encounter it.
So I am curious, am I the only one encountering this situation?

W2K with all patches.
