All,

We are having a problem with our laptops here whereby we cannot open
Adobe Reader if the laptop is not connected to our network.

The laptops are part of a domain and the users log on using their
domain user accounts. If they are connected to the network then Adobe
works perfectly with no errors whatsoever. If they are out of the
office and/or disconnected from the network, and they try and open
Adobe Reader, it throws up a Microsoft-style error - "Adobe Reader
v8.0 has encountered a problem and needs to close" - the referenced
AppName is acrord32.exe and the ModName is acrord32.dll.

If logging on to the laptop as a domain administrator or a local user
account there are no problems running Adobe Reader whether in the
office or out of the office.

Upgrading Adobe Reader to v9.0 has no effect.

Help?!
