This seems like the third time in a row that I am getting multiple semi-random errors after "upgrading" Adobe Reader. In previous cases, I had to remove the application and re-install it to get it to operate without error. This time I have already removed it and re-downloaded it (~50MB!!) twice, but still getting errors virtually every time I open a PDF document. Even documents that opened without error before. I am getting these kinds of errors constantly, typically at random (i.e. not the same errors in the same places even when opening the same pdf file more than once.) * A drawing error occurred. * There was an error processing a page. There was a problem reading this document (135). * An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem. * Cannot extract the embedded font 'SKSMBI+Arial-BoldMT'. Some characters may not display or print correctly. Frankly, I'm ready to dump Adobe completely and seek a 3rd party solution to viewing pdf files. I will certainly never "upgrade" Adobe reader again. You would think that I would have learned from being burned the last two times. I am running factory-installed Windows 7 Home Premium on a Sony VAIO VGN-NW270F. But I have had the same problem on other systems, so it feels like the problem is with Adobe Reader and not with the OS or the hardware. I can't see that the behavior is any different opening a document within a browser (I use IE and Chrome) vs. using standalone Adobe Reader.
