Highlight Server

I recently upgraded to Adobe Reader 9 and also to Internet Explorer
8. The reader is working fine, but IE8 took quite a bit of fine
tuning before I found it acceptable. I am having one problem,
however, that I have been unable to solve.

When I am using IE8 and doing a web search, I often find PDF files
that I need to read or at least scan before downloading them. It
used to be that my search terms were often highlighted in the PDF
document that IE brought up. Now they are highlighted in such a
garish color that I cannot read the text below the highlighting.

I assume that the problem lies with the Adobe plug-in "Acrobat
Highlight Server". Unfortunately I do not know if the problem lies
with the Adobe Reader or with the new version of Internet Explorer.
Can anyone suggest where I should look next? And the next time, I
will wait a few weeks before installing a second update!

Thanks in advance for any help.
