Hello all. I have a problem where all the systems that have been setup to watch a network folder do not render the project at the same time. One system will start a render, and none of the others will work on that same project. I have tried it both with the "Skip Existing Files" in the Render Settings checkbox checked and unchecked as well as the use storage overflow checked and unchecked. I have 7 systems setup with AE CS3, and 2 servers setup; one as the watch folder and the other as output. Each test render project is seen by each system and can be opened, they just will not render automatically. This is the same for test projects using only the default AE plug-ins. If I open the projects on all systems and set each to render one -after the other (manually start rendering on each machine), they will render a few frames and then quit with an error that the File name is not valid? I am rendering a multi-image sequence that I want to post-render into a movie. Any Ideas? I was under the impression that I was able to have AE render nodes setup watching my server and render any projects I collected to the server and they would all render different frames and output to my 2nd server. I have seen this setup on older versions of AE at my previous work place. What could be wrong? Specs: All systems are Dual 3GHZ xeon machines with 2GB ram and Scsi boot drives running AE CS3. Servers are 3Ghz P4 running MS SBS server2003. Config is as follows: systems are mapped to Server 1 or 2 as Either x:, y: or j: drives with all effects and fonts installed on all systems. X:\ = \\server1\Render Folder\renders\watch = watch folder J:\ = \\AEsystem1\J$ = folder with assets used for render but not used in test renders, Y:\ = \\server1\Networkrender Results\AFX : this folder is remapped via distributed file system to server2, and is used as the output folder. Any Help anyone can offer would be great! Thanks for reading.
