We work with NxN's Alienbrain and I'd like to get infos from the database about my scene. Normally I do this with a system tool called "ab.exe" and parse the result.
I could not find a way to do this in AfterEffects java script.
I need something like:
var result = system.execute("ab.exe -server name -command getinfo_fromShot");
Maybe someone has an idea how to do this?
Thanks
haggi

I don't think you can. If I understand correctly, it's a security feature; scripts are not permitted to run executables. Matt

In AE 7.0, the System object has a callSystem() method. Refer to the After Effects Scripting Guide for details. Maybe that'll work for your needs. Jeff
