I can't get Audition to recognize any VST or DirectX plugins. I've enabled DirectX plugins, and it found the one I had installed at that time, but when I install new ones it doesn't find them.

AI can't get it to find any VST plug ins. Where do I want to put the VST plugins so Audition will find them?

I am selecting all plugins via the FX menu and expanding the plus sign for either VST or DirectX.

There is a "vstplugins" folder in the main C:/ProgramFiles/Adobe/Audition folder, but when I put the plugins there, Audition doesn't find them on startup.

I can't find a way to get Audition to refres it's list of DirectX plugins either. it searhced for them when i first enabled DX plugins, but never again after that.

Also, am I looking in the right place for plugins?I do so by pressing the "FX" button on a track in Multitrack Mode and looking through the installed real-time effects list. Then I also look the full list under the "effects" tab in the pane on the left of the screen.

Have you used the "refresh" option in edit view effects menu?

If that does not work, what plugins are you trying to enable? Not all are supported.
